Dahlia Tubers

To be noted...

I am excited for our 2024 tuber sale, and hope you have a beautiful garden season! Please note these special things as you purchase and care for your tubers.

  • Tubers will be shipped, within the US only, when evening temperatures are consistently above freezing (usually late April, or early May) as dahlias are very sensitive to cold temps. All local pick-ups will happen between April 26-30.

  •  We have been carefully caring for your tubers. Once they are in your possession, their care is in your hands. The plastic bag they come in should be left unzipped to allow for airflow. They should be kept out of extreme temperatures. Please see the care card that is packaged with your tubers!

  • Tubers come in many shapes and sizes. What they need to grow is an 'eye'. The 'eye' turns into a sprout. You may not see the 'eye' or the sprout when you receive your tuber, but we promise it's there! Blue, fuzzy mold can show up on the cut end of a tuber. It will not harm the tuber and can be brushed off or cut off.

  • Tubers can be planted after the danger of frost has passed. Again, please see the care card that comes with your purchase for all planting and care information.
